Queensland Projects

 

APLNG

Unidel was engaged by APLNG to assist in appointing and managing an early works contractor and developing an EPC price for the pipeline component of the project. Our involvement with APLNG has grown to include pre-construction design and drafting work, ecology scouting, environmental planning, and cultural heritage management.

Australian Energy Regulator Gas Tariff

Unidel provided expert technical and costing advice to review the gas tariff for a gas pipeline by the Australian Energy Regulator.

Braemar 3 Project

Unidel was engaged by ERM Power to provide route development, landholder engagement, environmental field assessment, approval and indigenous engagement services for a proposed gas pipeline between Tara and the Roma to Brisbane pipeline at Braemar.

Central Queensland Gas Pipeline

Unidel personnel were initially engaged by Enertrade to assess pipeline options, provide land access strategy advice, landowner and stakeholder engagement services, indigenous agreement negotiations, EIS coordination, licensing and regulatory approvals preparation and submission, and project controls. Following the sale of Enertrade to AGL/Arrow, Unidel was engaged to finalise regulatory approvals and we continue to undertake land access negotiations.

Cloncurry Water Pipeline

Unidel was engaged by SunWater to provide land access strategy advice, stakeholder engagement, landholder consultation and land access negotiations and procurement services for the Cloncurry Water Pipeline project. We also provided strategic contracting strategy and advice, and implemented early contractor involvement to achieve a fully risk-adjusted price for the project. We provided ongoing strategic advice throughout the project's construction, and facilitated a lessons-learned workshop on its completion.

Columboola to Fishermans Island

Unidel was engaged by Queensland Rail to assess potential environmental impacts and develop environmental management plans for a series of in-corridor rail upgrades along the western system railway.

Connors River Dam and Pipeline Project

Unidel was engaged by SunWater to develop a contracting strategy for the Connors River Dam and Pipeline Project business case.

Department of Environment and Resources Management

Unidel is providing estimating, measurement and quantity surveying services with respect to land valuation appeals for the department.

Drillsearch

Unidel provided integrated services to DrillSearch for their South West Queensland exploration tenements. Our involvement commenced in late 2010 with the negotiation of four sets of indigenous agreements in relation to Native Title and Cultural Heritage. Since then ithas grown to include land access, high-level positioning and stakeholder engagement, environmental, and spatial data support for this significant seismic program.

Unidel is on Energex's environmental services panel. We have specialist staff seconded to their environment team.

Enertrade

After a long association with the Enertrade pipeline assets, one of Unidel's early assignments was to assist the Queensland Government in the sales process of the Central Queensland Gas Pipeline and the North Queensland Gas Pipeline.

Galilee Coal Terrestrial Ecology

Unidel was engaged by Waratah Coal to coordinate terrestrial ecology studies for mine, rail corridor and coal loading facilities.

Goonyella System Expansion Preliminary

Unidel was engaged by Queensland Rail to undertake a preliminary environmental assessment of proposed works to identify key opportunities and constraints for the project.

Kenya-Chinchilla Weir Water Pipeline

Unidel's services helped to cost an optimum pipeline route from Kenya to the Chinchilla Weir for QGC (a BG Group business). Our services included environmental, engineering, cost estimating, cultural heritage and landowner reviews.

Lions Way Pipeline

Unidel was engaged by Metgasco to establish an optimised pipeline alignment, provide land access strategy advice, landowner and stakeholder engagement services (including indigenous engagement), coordinate EIS requirements (NSW), and coordinate, prepare and submit regulatory approvals (NSW and Queensland).

Logan Free Flow Project

Unidel was engaged by Queensland Motorways to audit and review the design and construction costs for the company's Logan Free Flow project.

Logan Motorway Maintenance Alliance

Unidel was engaged by Queensland Motorways to establish commercial audits to commence the alliance.

Moranbah Cogeneration Project

Key Unidel personnel were engaged by Enertrade to provide feasibility, engineering, project approvals, land access and project management services for a gas-fired, cogeneration facility.

Moranbah Generation Facility

Key Unidel personnel were engaged by Enertrade to provide feasibility, engineering, approvals and procurement support for a proposed 40mw generation facility.

Nathan Dam and Pipeline Project

Unidel is providing pipeline alignment, stakeholder engagement and Land access strategy advice and services to assist SunWater to develop the Nathan Pipeline Project. Unidel is also undertaking landholder consultation services and land access strategy for the proposed Nathan Dam Project.

Pamelia Street Conveyor System

Unidel was engaged by Boral to provide estimating services relating to the company's overland conveyor system.

Paradise Road Alliance

Unidel is auditing and reviewing design and construction costs for Queensland Motorway's Paradise Road Alliance.

QCLNG

Unidel has supported QGC's (a BG Group business) leadership in Australia's highly competitive clean energy market since 2007. We have provided skilled people and a range of complementary services to support exploration, appraisal and stakeholder relationships associated with development of the project including land access, indigenous agreements, environmental assessment, survey and GIS management, project supply chain management, technical services and stakeholder engagement.

Unidel Director, Stephen Callaghan, assisted Epic Energy by delivering strategic contracting strategy advice. He also implemented an early contractor involvement to achieve a fully risk-adjusted price for the project. Stephen provided ongoing strategic advice throughout the project's construction, and facilitated a lessons-learned workshop on its completion.

Queensland Gas Pipeline

Unidel provided technical services to Melbourne-based Jemena to calculate a financial assurance bond for looping and two compressor stations for their Queensland Gas Pipeline. We were then engaged to assist developing an early contractor involvement process to upgrade the pipeline.

South West Queensland Gas Pipeline Looping

Tipton to Laidley Pipeline

Unidel was engaged by NP Power to provide route development, landholder engagement, environmental field assessment, approval and indigenous engagement services for a proposed gas pipeline linking gas assets in Tipton with a proposed power station at Laidley.

Townsville South Power Station

Key Unidel personnel were engaged by Enertrade to provide feasibility, approvals and procurement support for a proposed 380mw gas-fired, combined cycle generation facility to be fired exclusively by coal seam gas.

Wallumbilla to Bulla Park

Unidel was engaged by APA Group to optimise the proposed Wallumbilla to Bulla Park pipeline alignment, provide land access strategy advice, provide landowner and stakeholder engagement services (including indigenous engagement), manage cultural heritage survey, and coordinate, prepare and submit regulatory approvals (NSW and Queensland).

Wallumbilla to Wambo Pipeline Project

Unidel was engaged to provide route development, landholder engagement, environmental field assessment, approval and indigenous engagement services for a proposed gas pipeline between the Wallumbilla gas hub and Tara.

Wambo to Goondiwindi

Unidel were engaged to provide route development, landholder engagement, environmental field assessment, licensing approvals and indigenous engagement services for a proposed gas pipeline between Tara and Goondiwindi.

Water for Bowen

Unidel was engaged by SunWater to develop a contacting strategy for the project business case.

Western Corridor Recycled Water Project

Unidel was engaged by the Western Pipeline Alliance to provide land access services, risk management and permit management services for the western section of the Western Corridor Recycled Water Project.

Wiggins Island Coal Terminal

Unidel was engaged by Gladstone Ports Corporation to identify suitable vegetation offset sites for the Wiggins Island Coal Terminal.
